Our Ramjet RJ-575HD Compactor is a high capacity, heavy duty compactor ideal for industrial and commercial applications where large volumes of solid waste are generated.

It’s rugged construction and large hydraulic power unit allow maximum compaction performance. The RJ-575HD features a large 95-inch (2413mm) by 59 1/2-inch (1511.3mm) clear top opening to accommodate oversized crates and cartons.

A HEAVY DUTY COMPACTOR ENGINEERED FOR DURABILITY

The high-capacity 5.5 cubic yard RJ-575HD is ideal for heavy industrial applications. The large hydraulic power unit and oversized clear top opening make it well suited for high volumes of pallets, crates, and other bulky solid wastes. The heady-duty construction of the RJ-575HD features:

4-inch (101.6mm) I-beam reinforcement throughout.
Heavy-duty ram with 3/4-inch (19.05mm) steel face plate and 3/8-inch (9.53mm) top.
Cast iron ram guides for extended floor life.
Sides constructed from 1/4-inch (6.35mm) thick steel with 3/8-inch (9.53mm) liner plates.

4-inch (101.6mm) by 5-inch (127mm) boxed channel vertical side supports.
Hefty 6-inch (152.4mm) by 8-inch (203.2mm) by 3/4-inch (19.05mm) angle breaker bar with 1-inch (25.4mm) by 12-inch (304.8mm) steel plate reinforcement that easily handles the beating of daily industrial trash.

CART DUMPERS, CHUTES, AND HOPPERS

The RJ-575HD can be fitted with a variety of material handling equipment such as chutes, hoppers, and dumpers. The RJ-575HD shown is fitted with a side fed hopper and a ground level dumper. Cart Dumpers can be custom built to your specifications to accommodate existing cart systems.

TRANSFER STATION APPLICATIONS

The RJ-575HD is designed for transfer station applications for municipalities and private contractors. A conveniently located RJ-575HD transfer facility will eliminate the need for unnecessary trips to the landfill by intermediate collection vehicles resulting in fuel, maintenance, and labor cost reductions. Compacting into large compaction containers or transfer trailers could also help to further reduce dumping fees.

NOTE: Due to the high forces of the RJ-575HD, extra heavy-duty model compaction containers are required.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Control System

The RJ-225 and RJ-225HD feature an advanced, simplified 2-button control system. It is a key-operated, fully automatic and contained in a weatherproof NEmA 4 enclosure. Connected to the power pack with 13-feet (3.96m) of Sealtite®, the controls can be located for operator convenience.

Cast Iron Shoes

The packing ram is supported by specially formulated cast iron shoes which ride on replaceable wear strips. this exclusive design protects the charge box floor from the full force of the packing ram, extending its life and dramatically reducing compaction-robbing friction.

High Performance Power Unit

The RJ-575HD features a high-performance remote power unit with a UL and CUL Listed panel box, 30 HP motor, and an external motor starter reset button.
