The Region of Peel provides collection services to more than 88,000 apartment units throughout Brampton and Mississauga. Recently, new front end recycling containers have been provided to apartment, Municipal, and Regional facilities to replace the existing 95 gallon recycling carts. The new front end containers provide more efficient collection services, increased storage capacities for recyclable materials, and a cleaner recycling area for staff and residents.

In 2008 the Region of Peel awarded Metro Compactor Service with a contract for the supply and delivery of front end containers. Since then, we have worked together to roll out this new program to over 450 buildings requiring over 1200 front end recycling containers varying in size from 3 to 6 cubic yards. Metro Compactor has customized containers to include the colour and artwork that suits our needs. In addition to the roll out, Metro Compactor worked with us to retro fit 294 containers to accommodate design changes to the restricted access slot, making the bin more user friendly.
